If you own a credit repair business you are no
doubt generating your own credit repair leads
or, as is the case with most businesses, you
are buying credit repair leads from a list
broker or lead provider. While researching the
credit repair leads business for over 7 years I
have undoubtedly found the good, the
bad the ugly and also the elite credit
repair leads. When it comes to sourcing a lead
provider for your business it pays to
do your research. In this four-part
series, I will discuss what I have
learned through trial and
error while navigating the
treacherous credit repair leads
industry.
Part 1; The Ugly
The label "ugly" gets applied to credit repair
leads that are compiled through large databases
email lists. Although, some models may
garnish sales more than others, in
general, these leads are mostly
unresponsive to telemarketing
offers. Other "ugly" credit repair leads
are compiled via Internet questionnaires also
known as "co-registrations" or "co-reg
leads". I label the co-reg
leads "ugly" because these prospects
can be classified as credit repair "responder
leads", the truth is that the users/consumers
are simply filling out Internet data forms to
get free stuff or entry into a sweepstakes or
similar offers. In other words, they are
coerced into filling out questionnaire forms
instead of being truly interested in a specific
credit repair related product. Furthermore, the
users are more likely to mark "check" boxes
with any quick convenient decision that gets
the form filled out the quickest.
Trial and error goes a long way but needlessly
burning through your company's financial
resources is never a winner. "Ugly" credit
repair leads do nothing more than deplete
a marketing budget while bringing down
sales room moral. Calling through "ugly"
unresponsive names
will put negative pressure
on a sales room and get your doors
closed faster than a bad sales pitch.
In summary, stay away from compiled databases
and co-registration credit repair leads and
expect generic compiled credit repair leads to
be very unresponsive.
