#3) Keep following up

It takes an average of five to seven contacts before somebody is converted from a lead to a paying customer. However, some people require much longer. In other words, do not give up on somebody just because they do not respond immediately.

Give them at least 3-4 phone calls. If they do not pick up or return your call, continue sending them emails indefinitely. Many businesses stop marketing to a lead after the first attempt. This is a huge mistake. Instead, keep contacting them until they opt out of your emails.
